By day, I’m an advertising creative director and copywriter for a great agency called Barefoot Proximity. Below are some award-winning samples of my copywriting work. Thanks to the talented designers who helped me create this stuff: Lauren Hayes, Adam George, Rob Sloan, Todd Jessee and Charlie Padgett.

My writing sometimes takes me to some unexpected places and unusual experiences. For instance, I ran for President of the United States in 2008 (I lost). I was invited to “debate” a local pastor about the existence of God (it was a tie). And I’m occasionally invited to emcee special events and fundraisers (I win whenever there’s an open bar). These “extra curricular” activities help keep me rounded. It’s important for writers to get out of the house⎯or we turn even weirder. For reference, see “The Shining.”
